Movie Summary
Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect their precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket has stolen the items they were sent to guard, the Sovereign dispatch their armada to search for vengeance. As the Guardians try to escape, the mystery of Peter's parentage is revealed. Personally am not a big fan of such movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars because of the characters, I get tamed by the hideous look easily, maybe I too scared-cat already. :( But I do like their use of the sabers because sometimes I also pretend I have the superpower haha just kidding. So the movie was quite popular among fans so I went to catch it together with Wenhui. Funny how we both didn't watch part 1 but we watch part 2 instead like how I only catch Fast and Furious movie series after S6. They say like part 1 is not really linked to part 2 so for those who didn't manage to catch part 1, it won't be hard for us to relate to it so I'm just going to purely judge based on the part 2 only. The starting part of the movie was a bit boring where the couple went into the forest and kiss; after the fighting scene with the giant octopus. Subsequently the Sovereign tried to hunt the guardians down and Peter discover who's his real father on the way and his dad and assistant brought him to their planet which looks magical and kind from the outside but turns out his dad just want to gain control of the entire world through Peter and the planet is actually full of dead bodies and skeletons. Luckily Peter's dad assistant is standing together with the Guardians team to stop evil from taking over and it is quite sad for the fact that even though Peter and his dad did reunite but they were standing on different pages and Peter had to stop his dad. If you are a fan of graphics or guardian of the galaxy then this is the movie for you. Ratings: 🍿🍿🍿
