Movie Summary
Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect their precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket has stolen the items they were sent to guard, the Sovereign dispatch their armada to search for vengeance. As the Guardians try to escape, the mystery of Peter's parentage is revealed. Personally am not a big fan of such movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars because of the characters, I get tamed by the hideous look easily, maybe I too scared-cat already. :( But I do like their use of the sabers because sometimes I also pretend I have the superpower haha just kidding. So the movie was quite popular among fans so I went to catch it together with Wenhui. Funny how we both didn't watch part 1 but we watch part 2 instead like how I only catch Fast and Furious movie series after S6. They say like part 1 is not really linked to part 2 so for those who didn't manage to catch part 1, it won't be hard for us to relate to it so I'm just going to purely judge based on the part 2 only. The starting part of the movie was a bit boring where the couple went into the forest and kiss; after the fighting scene with the giant octopus. Subsequently the Sovereign tried to hunt the guardians down and Peter discover who's his real father on the way and his dad and assistant brought him to their planet which looks magical and kind from the outside but turns out his dad just want to gain control of the entire world through Peter and the planet is actually full of dead bodies and skeletons. Luckily Peter's dad assistant is standing together with the Guardians team to stop evil from taking over and it is quite sad for the fact that even though Peter and his dad did reunite but they were standing on different pages and Peter had to stop his dad. If you are a fan of graphics or guardian of the galaxy then this is the movie for you. Ratings: 🍿🍿🍿

Movie Summary
With Dom and Letty married, Brian and Mia retired and the rest of the crew exonerated, the globe-trotting team has found some semblance of a normal life. They soon face an unexpected challenge when a mysterious woman named Cipher forces Dom to betray them all. Now, they must unite to bring home the man who made them a family and stop Cipher from unleashing chaos. Previously I only started watching Fast & Furious Series starting from Series 6. So basically what's the movie is about in S8 is that there's this woman from Dom's past that is determined to hunt him down and she got something on her hand (Dom's wife and baby) and forces him to betray all his friends. The movie was intense especially the part where there were car chasing scenes and where Cipher almost caught Dom on the CCTV screen where he was given just 5 minutes to seek all the help he needed. It is not bad as usual and I love how each series just keep improving from the last. Ratings: 🍿🍿🍿🍿 Movie Summary
Initially the first thing that came to my head was; hey this is just going to be a remake of the fairytale story and there's nothing interesting to watch about it but as soon as the movie start screening in Singapore, everybody went crazy talking about it and how nice it was and the fact that Emma Watson is acting inside too so like any normal Singaporean, I also follow the craze and watch it together with Wenhui. It was a very last minute plan and we caught it at Cathay Cine at Dhoby Ghaut but the theatre only left the seats at the 2 front rows so we just grab it at that point of time. Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in its castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast's hideous exterior, allowing her to recognize the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides on the inside. I hate how Beast captured away Belle's dad when all her dad wanted to do was bring back a stalk of rose for Belle but luckily her dad's horse escape away and bring belle to save her dad and Belle bravely volunteer to exchange her life as a prisoner in place of her dad which ended up her dad went back to the village to try to convince everyone that Beast exist but everyone just thought he is a mad old man spouting nonsense. The bad guy pretend to believe her dad's word but when her dad fail to bring him and his men to Beast's place and beat him up in the forest because Belle's dad angered him by saying Belle won't fall for someone like him. The part where the bad guy beat up Belle's dad in the forest just because he fail to win the heart of Belle and also the part when the whole village doesn't believe in Belle and her dad and believe that Beast is a monster is so nerve-wracking and sad. But luckily teapot and her friends manage to defend Beast castle and helped Beast and Belle to fell in love and break the curse before the last rose petal fell off and I was so worried that Beast will die hahah because the bad guy keep shooting him. Everything is nice about the movie but sometimes I find the dancing and singing part to be a little bit too long and unnecessary even though the effects were bright and nicely done. Ratings: 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 |
