The LovelyG finally met up with one another again and this time round we head over to Macpherson Community Club where NOM Cafe is located, and coincidentally the area where JY grew up so we are lucky as we got a person who know the area well especially when you are looking for a cafe. Walking distance from the station is quite far, it took us around 15-20minutes of walking to get there. And we are already starving. We reach the cafe around 3pm. :( We wanted to try their brunch but sadly we went on Friday and brunch is only available on weekends. The cafe staff are very friendly, they are all young girls. Taking our orders might be hard because we have 6 people hahaha. Mocktails have been my new addiction since my last visit to IAM Cafe so NOM Cafe was no exemption. *laughs* They (mocktails) are all quite expensive but yolo so no regrets. If you want to order something, just go for it, especially since I'm the kind to only visit a cafe 1 time unless the food is very nice then I don't mind going again for the second time and you know cafe are not cheap so I only go to each new cafe 1 time hahaha. At first I also don't know what are mocktails until CY explained to me last time. I initially thought they are alcoholic drinks but actually no they are not. They are made of sprite base and are usually mixed with fruit juice. In this case, NOM allows you to choose your base (coke/ sprite/ root beer/ etc) and 2 types of fruit juices (blue lagoon/ lychee/ orange/ berry juice/ etc). In addition, a vanilla ice cream on top of your drink!! :) So mix + match mocktails cost $7.50. But be very careful after 1 minute, your drink will be like flowing all over the place and onto your legs since the table got holes in between. >.< What the six of us ordered hahaha. What a spread! ^^ So there is Breakfast Rosti Snail Pork Sausage, Beer Battered Fish and Chips, Slow Roast Bird Leg, Earth Burger and The Ultimate NOM Burger. I was assigned the role of capturing the food photos hahaha :p Probably because I'm the tallest also... Unfornuately, the baked chicken leg was not cook to tender so I had a hard time cutting it but on the other side, the cranberry sauce goes well with the chicken and mashed potato to my surprise. They say they are too full for dessert..like what??? Nobody gets too full for dessert *inserts angry emoji* Hahaha in the end I'm the only one who ordered the rainbow cake. They have a wide variety of rainbow cakes, like cookies n cream, caramel, cookie butter, cheesecake, chocolate, etc. I was spoilt for choices , after spending some time choosing (so difficult to choose!), I settled for the cookie butter. Then they very clever all try my cake hahaha. The rainbow cake tastes very normal, no surprise element. The cake was quite dry and surprisingly the cookie butter tastes like caramel instead!! And it was overpriced for such a small slice since for the same price $8.90, you can have one slice as big as the one at IAM Cafe so... A bit disappointed! AMBIANCE: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
FOOD: 🍴🍴🍴 SERVICE: 💁💁💁💁 PRICE: $12.90++ for salads and mains, $7.50++ for mocktails
