Been a while since I last stepped into Ikea, so I suggested going there to XueShuang. And we both readily agreed as I need to meet a customer at Tampiness too on that day. As expected, since it was a weekend when we made our trip, the food area was super crowded, queue was extremely long and it was difficult to even find seats for the 2 of us. Ikea food the best so no complain for the lack of seats. No seats also must wait! :) Spring rolls. If I remember correctly, this costs only $1 for 2 quantity. Despite saving it for last after our meal, it still remains warm and crispy! XueShuang ordered baked chicken leg with mashed potato. The chicken is tender and yummy, which tastes well with the potato and sweet soft boiled carrots. Am not a fan of peaches, so I personally feel that all the food will taste better without it. Being a big fan of salmon, I love how Ikea always have that one salmon dish that I can't wait to gobble down on it! Preferably am biased more towards raw salmon, followed by cooked or smoked salmon. Yums! This dish is served with these 2 round yellow baked thing below. They are actually baked potatoes and broccoli together! What an creative combination, who would have thought of that? I love it, which taste soft and mild sweet. :) The creamy sauce dripped over the salmon was not bad too. Green salad. This tastes pretty bland and average, nothing special. The sauce is a must, if not it will be so dry! I feel that whenever I go to Ikea, I must definitely order the 50 cents vanilla cone to end the so-called "trip" hahah. Is it weird? I really love the ice-cream, maybe because it's really cheap and the machine is just so fun, just a drop of the token, and the ice-cream will come swirling out automatically on your cone! Serving is affordable also for a 50 cents ice-cream! Then we went to one of the Tampiness mall and had Starbucks to end off our day. There was also some flea going on outside the mall as it was Halloween period. There was everything ranging from Halloween props to dreamcatchers! Mega love for dreamcatchers after watching the Heirs. Then we took the super long bus ride home. Can you believe we only managed to board the 3rd bus, that's how long and crazy the queue were, especially during peak hours. I love everything about Ikea, from the food, store layout to its affordable diy furniture! One of my favourite place, you can say so. :)
