If you are looking for affordable Japanese don then Donya is the place for you. Located just a walking distance away from Bugis+ and hidden among the coffeeshop, you can find Donya. Prices for don goes as low as $6.80. Menu:Each one of us ordered a different type of don. Salmon Mentai Don has a generous amount of mentaiko sauce on top of the salmon and torched slightly. The salmon was half cooked with a crispy outer skin to it. The rice was drizzled with the sweet and savoury sauce to go along with. Unagi Tama Don has generous portion of unagi, cut into smaller pieces so you can just pop one piece of unagi into your mouth easier. The unagi was soft and most importantly fresh while the silky egg add another layer of texture to the don. The curry of the Chicken Karaage Curry Don tastes like any average Japanese curry while the chicken karaage is fried into a nice golden brown colour while the meat was tender and juicy. If you think the Salmon Mentai Don is slightly out of your pocket, you can go for their Chicken Mentai Katsu Don which is slightly cheaper. The chicken katsu is quite big and taste equally good as the rest. Donya
