Been 1 years+ since I joined Nets and this is probably the first or one of the few occasions where my department gets to go out for team bonding but not exactly team bonding because this was just a dinner. They suggest this international buffet at Clarke Quay called Kublai Khan. The place was huge and rather empty during evening time when we visited and the customers were mostly like us having a corporate dinner. There’s a wide diversity of international food but I feel that the quality standard wasn’t there. Take for example, the plate that were filled with sashimi, was wet with the bloody liquid cleansed out of the fish and it’s certainly doesn’t look fresh and the slices was super thin. There’s even a section for you to make your own bowl of laksa! What I love most out of the international buffet is definitely this Mongolian style DIY cum stirred fried vegetables where you choose the quantity and type of vegetables you want and their house Chef will help you to cook it on the spot with customised sauces recommended such as the sesame, garlic sauce, etc. The sauces goes so well with the vegetables and I have never tasted anything like this before. You can also choose to add lamb meat inside the dish, adding another layer of flavour to it. I like add chilli padi in also making it spicy. There’s a dessert section at the end of the buffet. I took quite a handful of icecream flavour, underneath is a layer of toasted honeylike bread which was quite filling.
