We decided to start the first day of 2018 right by heading to one of the cafe and we settled upon Wheeler's Yard located at Toa Payoh and you have to take a bus from the interchange to go to the cafe because it is not near to the mrt. The first thing you will notice when you enter the cafe would be all the bicycles and helmets handing on the wall, and even on the middle of the long table. Plus the cafe is located in a backyard kind of concept. Menu:Was attracted to the Cold Brew coffee on the menu as well as I saw the photo on their Instagram in which the coffee comes with a sphere cube of ice for you to pour the coffee over. The coffee tastes very bitter whereas I could prefer a sweeter version. Iced Matcha Latte has a strong matcha taste to it but not too overpowering so it was just nice. Was looking forward to the Mentaiko Pasta but the disadvantages was that there wasn't much ingredients to it except for some seaweed, salmon roe and spring onions. Other than that, I don't think it was worth the money $19.90 even if the mentaiko sauce is good. Assorted Sauteed Mushrooms was rather oily as it was fried and you can easily feel the oil oozing out with each bite which deters me from eating more. He ordered Suki Beef rice bowl. The meat was flavourful and tender, when mixed with the onsen egg the taste is simply out of the world. The radish at the side compliments the beef as well, making you want more and more. The back of the cafe is a popular spot for Instagrammers to take their photos. Wheeler's Yard
