As you may or may not have heard, Miyoc is having an 2 days blogshop event; best of Asia street shopping where you can experience Seoul, Taipei and Bangkok all in one, from 21-22 June 2014, 12pm-7pm at Raffles Xchange Atrium with many blogshops participating! Expect lots of discounts and sales~~ ^^ Tomorrow is the last day so what are you waiting for?? Travel with Miyoc now! It's very difficult to find an actual place to dine in for brunch/ lunch because all the f&b shops are just selling those breads, cakes, drinks, pastry that wouldn't fill your stomach compared to a proper main course in the Raffles Xchange! So we thought maybe RafflesOne mall (forgot its name) had some proper main course but the layout of the shopping mall is so fucking stupid (at the end of the escalator is one big shop eg. H&M so that means you have to pass through H&M in order for you to exit etc. And it double annoying when you have already shopped at H&M a whole ago.) We wanted to tried the steamboat because we saw there's a shop selling steamboat outside the shopping mall's 4th floor window! The weird thing is we couldn't find the shop even after we walked round and round the level and the floor plan is so weird! It's say the steamboat was behind this coffee cafe but the real layout was there was only stairs behind that cafe!! But we did saw there's a steamboat shop through the 4th floor window outside the shopping mall and there were people eating! The shopping mall was new and there was only a few shops opened. The lifts wasn't even operating. The food court on the level 5 wasn't even due for opening, there was still construction going on. Imagine walking from 1st floor to 5th floor and not able to locate the weird shop and walking down with the stupid mall and escalators layout with only a few shops opened, lifts was operating and you wasted so much time searching for proper food to eat when you didn't even eat anything in the morning and you are back to square one, heading back to the only Vietnamese shop selling proper food at Raffles Xchange. With only this one and only last option, xx, that sell Vietnamese cuisine so we had our brunch/ lunch here! I would say the food is unique because it was my first time trying out the Vietnamese dish. The white noodles/ beehoon or what they called it was dry and bland so you need to pour the red chilli transparent sauce to it to make it more flavourful and less-dry! The best part of the dish was the (I forgot what it's called) spring rolls I think.. damn it tastes so yummy, nice, flavourful and filled with shrimps! Love it! We then went to Bugis after since she want to go shop.. I wanted to go trick eye museum after seeing friends posted on Facebook and Instagram and it's does look fun for a museum and if I go there, I will be able to take lots of photos too! But sadly, at the time when I went, I didn't know what the exhibition was called and where it is so we actually headed to Singapore Art Museum (SAM) around 6pm plus which was near to the closing time. There's wasn't anything that interest me at the museum, I thought there would be paintings at least, but the current exhibitions was just about Singapore concrete roads and pavements (1 pieces of sample for different kinds of road found around Singapore) or bugs or dark exhibitions that gross me out! Since there wasn't any dining places near SAM or even if there is, it would definitely be expensive I guess. So we headed to dobhy ghaut, plaza singapura for our dinner and I had this definite-worth-the-price chicken soup pot at the food court itself. Comes with lots of ingredients, eg. vegetables, mushrooms, chicken, etc and chicken soup base was so nice and yummy because they added the pepper balls (or peppercorn if you called it?)! Don't miss this food stall the next time you visit the plaza singapura food court! I'm so not going back to Raffles Xchange or RafflesOne mall (One Raffles mall) or Raffles except for the pretty vintage swings outside Raffles MRT!
