Always wanted to try out this cafe seen I saw it on my Instagram feed like everytime but what a bummer, there was one time I went and it was closed due to the company private event! But luckily the second time I go, it is opened. I think I literally walked like 10-15 minutes under the scorching hot sun from Bugis Mrt but it was consider easy to find, consider the fact that you just have to keep walking straight without the need to turn left or right! Don't be fooled like there's no queue for the cafe, in fact, it is full house inside the moment when you open the door. There was this machine queueing system (beside the skeleton if you noticed), it was the exact same device as the one they had at Habitat Coffee so the system actually had my record with my phone number so once I entered my number, they already know my name! We waited like about 5 minutes, super efficient and the staff were helpful and friendly whilst guiding us to our seats. Ok you know you have reach the right place when you see this pinstripes looking shelter! Their food is consider overpriced for me if you compared to average cafe prices!! For example, the one I had costs $21. It is Truffle Eggs Mushrooms, the black stuff you see on top of the scrambled eggs are the truffles, might be a little bit surprising for some people if you are a frequent truffle fries person and you always thought truffles are white. And I think I'm quite unlucky, I found a curly hair on my truffles... I didn't want to make a big fuss because this is not my first time seeing hair on my food. It happened once when I went to The Assembly Ground like seriously right... Anyway so my friend only told the waitress at the end of our meal when she came to collect our plates about it. So if you forgot about the issue, the food is actually good since there's a whole lot of variety on my plate. See the giant Strawberry Lemonade?? It costs $13 omg. And I don't recommend because it is very sour unless you love sour then please don't order. It tastes like strawberry yakult. I don't recommend the coffee either, it tastes very bitter and the serving is so small. Definitely not worth your money. This dish isn't bad, I guess I know why they named this dish after their cafe name. The tomato sauce with black pepper tastes very good (fan of black coarse pepper and tomato), goes well with the bread and salad. There is ham or luncheon meat and carrots mixed together in the sauce. A bit disappointed with the hygience. Ambiance wise I would give 3 stars because the interior cafe is quite small but cosy with big armchairs. I would have given 4 stars for food but.. Staff are friendly so thumbs up!
