Carpenter & Cook is a hidden gem located at Beauty World, with its interior vintage and cozy vibe. Another one of my favourite cafe on my list this year. The staff were super friendly and patient when we enquire some of their items on their menu. They also have a desserts, bread and salad display counter for you to choose your snacks or desserts on top of what they have on their menu. Menu:Had my favourite combination of Smoked Salmon and Eggs Benedict, the food was good but the portion wise was not worthy for $17. It was supposed to be egg benedicts but unfortunately it wasn't available so they replaced it with scrambled eggs instead and it was fluffy and good to go with but could have been better if benedicts were available. All the ingredients compliments well with one another. We also had broccoli stirred fried with chilli padi and garlic with a handful of salt and black pepper. Definitely one of my to-go dish. The broccoli was boiled and done right with a perfect level of spiciness and flavour. Terrence had the Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict and he had on a sausage to go with. The pulled pork was flavourful but he have tasted better pulled pork sandwiches elsewhere. It was a hearty and well-balanced brunch. We also had the Iced Chocolate because I was craving for it. The chocolate wasn't too sweet and I like it. Would definitely recommend my friends this place and ask them to try out their food. The downside could be the price and limited selection on their menu.
