Saw this on @brenwho instagram and runway bandits blog post by then I know it is a must to visit this highly raved place with 8 types of marinated pork for you to choose from. Located at The Central, I was excited to bring my mum to try the bbq. Unfornuately, we wasn't able to try out all the 8 types of meat because that is food for 4 people and they recommend us to get the 4 pork instead since they were only 2 of us so why not and it is half of the price. The staff kindly allowed and patiently waited for me to finish taking the photos, how many staff were do that for you?? In the end, we choose the miso, curry, ginger and some other flavours in which I forgotten already because there were like a total of 12 flavours for you to choose from and unfortunately some of the flavours wasn't available on the day we went. We even add on the seafood tofu soup which we had to top up $6 for the soup. There are 6 types of soups on their menu, 4 of them are $18 usual price while the seafood tofu soup and army stew requires you to top up another $6 for the selection! Since we want this tofu soup, we had to pay the extra price hahaha. This is one of their side dishes, in case if you are wondering what are these balls thing, they are actually potato balls dipped in soy sauce! Sounds new right, not bad ah. I think I don't need to describe the taste because I believe you can imagine potato and soy sauce together in your mouth? And then the bbq officially starts! *Open fireworks* What I like about their bbq is that they purposely make the bbq plate in a slant position so that the oils and fats will be dripped into a hole in the middle of the table. Talk about healthy eating!!! That is creative and awesome. I find the soup is not that worthy for the money because first of all, the bowl isn't as deep as what you think, secondly as seen in the 1st picture it is just plain water and red bean paste in which you mix together to become the one you seen on the 2nd picture. Seafood portion were quite little too with only 2-3 mussels. Seems like something I can cook up on my own... They even put sheets of paper to cover up the oils. You haven't been to Clarke Quay if you have never taken an ootd because the colourful houses is the best background to use. The whole restaurant was quite dark with limited lighting at each table for photography but surprisingly it is still bright enough to take photos. There even 2 tv showcasing the latest kpop songs for you to be kept entertained. Food and meat wise is quite pricey but overall worth the try and great experience at 8 Korean BBQ.
