The streets of Tanjong Pagar is famous for its korean food and today we decided to try Obba Korean restaurant as I haven't got to try it yet. They have lunch and set promotions but we went during dinner time so there wasn't much ongoing promotions. They have another sister restaurant catered to korean BBQ right beside. Menu:Jajangmyeon is a famous korean dish that I always wanted to try but I don't really dare to order for the fear that I might not like the taste and I will ended up not able to finish it so I got Terrence to order instead so at the same time, I can get the chance to try as well. It comes in this super black soya sauce and I was expecting a super strong or salty flavour to it but surprisingly it was quite flavourful and acceptable, probably they alter the dish a bit to cater to Singaporean taste buds. There were minced meat inside the sauce and the noodles were super chewy and soft and you go slurping on every bite. I actually quite like it. I often see how koreans order the dish on every variety shows and they make it seems so delicious now that I finally understand because it is really that good. I had the Sundubu Jjigae which is the spicy tofu soup. The spiciness of the soup was there and I personally love to add more kimchi into the soup for more flavour because usually the soup only contains tofu as well and there wasn't much ingredients to begins with. They serve 4 side dishes for every table; kimchi, onions, radish, cold pasta. No prize in guessing which was our most favourite one (cold pasta).
