First time trying out Salmon Samurai and I would confidently say I will come back for me which is so unlike me. The only time I would visit a restaurant more than once is that it is really good! Salmon Samurai is sister brand of Tanuki Raw and Standing Sushi Bar and all of them are my favourite places for raw salmon! The focus of Salmon Samurai will be more of the salmon itself and the choice of dry ramen, soba or yuzu ume rice! Menu:Salmon Miso Soup is one of the best I have try and for one ala carte bowl which is around $2, it’s contains real and generous amount of ingredients; salmon, onion, radish, mushrooms, etc! I don’t usually drink the whole bowl especially for the fact that it’s miso soup which is salty in nature but I always find myself drinking to the last few mouthful of their miso soup. This goes to shows how good it is! Mentaiko Salmon with Buckwheat Soba has got to be the top few favourites on my list! The salmon is not overly cooked and there’s still a slight taste of rawness to it. The plain soba complements the mentaiko salmon especially with the generous amount of mentaiko drizzle on top of it. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy which adds on a refreshing taste to the bowl. Yaki Salmon with yuzu ume rice with add on of broccoli and onsen egg. The salmon was well cooked and favourful. The yaki sauce however was not very ideal to terrence’s taste bud. He finds that the rice tastes like typical brown rice. Salmon Samurai
