The Refinery is a cafe around the corner of the industrial areas and is a 10-15 minutes walk away from Lavender Mrt. Not many people might know this cafe if they don't walk all the way in. The interior of the cafe has a minimalistic and clean look with mostly black and white decorations. Menu:We went for their Salted Egg Onion Rings under sides section. And this was quite a value for money considering the portion served and the huge size onion rings. However, it will be even better if there were more salted egg sauce drizzle over it. The onion rings was fried to a nice golden brown colour and the outer was crispy while the inner consists of the fresh and soft onions. The Iced Macadamia Latte is another one of my recommended list especially if you are a fan of macadamia. Even though I'm not a expert of latte, but I feels that this Macadamia Latte was rather decent. It was good, fragrant and flavourful. The bun of the Refinery Roll was grilled to a darker brown colour while the top layer is crispy but underneath, it remains its texture exactly way before it was grilled with soft white flesh. Personally I prefer other types of bun for the lobster roll instead of such buns but the portion of the lobster flesh was quite generous. You can easily spot big chunks of the lobster meats filled in the bun with a special mayo type of sauce. On the other hand, the complimentary fries and salad was really normal and average.
